How do I ask my pastor/church staff for permission to have the Disciple Now personnel lead the Sunday AM service(s)?
Having the Disciple Now continue through the Sunday morning worship services that are typically held not only allows the entire church to experience a little bit of what the student ministry has been experiencing, but it also shows the students that the entire church supports what has been going on. When asking the pastor and/or church staff for permission to have the Disciple Now personnel lead the Sunday services, simply ASK! Some pastors might have a hard time giving up “their pulpit.” If this is the case with your church, consider having the speaker for the weekend contact the pastor or have the pastor listen to a recorded sermon of the speaker. If the staff is concerned about the worship style during the Sunday services, make sure that the worship leader for the Disciple Now understands the worship style for the church.
