HOW DO I ARRANGE TO SIT FOR THE UNIFORM NATIONAL CPA EXAM?
State Boards of Accountancy Certified Public Accountants are licensed to practice by individual State Boards of Accountancy. Requirements to sit for the CPA Exam should be requested from your individual State Board. IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU COMPLETE THE APPLICATION FORM CORRECTLY AND RETURN IT TO YOUR STATE BOARD BEFORE THE SPECIFIED DEADLINE. Errors and/or delays may result in the rejection of your application. Be extremely careful in filling out the application and be sure to enclose all required materials. In many states, applications must be received by the State Board at least ninety days before the examination date. Complete the application in a timely manner. Approximately one month before the exam, check to see that your application to sit for the exam has been processed. DON’T ASSUME THAT YOU ARE PROPERLY REGISTERED UNLESS YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR CANDIDATE ID NUMBER.
