If the foam is less than one inch thick, apply the vapor barrier and lath in the normal manner, penetrating the studs with the fasteners at least one inch. If the foam is more than one inch thick, cut strips out of the foam and fasten furring strips to the studs every sixteen inches –no plywood is needed just a vapor & lath. 2.
