How do I apply if a program announcement uses both paper and electronic application?
Some program announcements have mechanisms that use electronic application and others that haven’t yet made that transition. For example, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: Pathophysiology and Treatment supports R01, R03, and R21 mechanisms. Apply electronically using the funding opportunity announcement (FOA) if the mechanism has made the transition; use a paper PHS 398 if it hasn’t.
