The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program rewards Florida high school students for their academic achievements by providing funding for them to pursue further educational goals. These scholarships are provided through the Florida Department of Education and funded by the Florida Lottery. The program was created by the Florida Legislature in 1997.
