If you don’t have kids, you won’t qualify for Section 8. And since you’re looking at 1 bedroom apartments, I’m guessing you have no kids. BTW, $680 is not bad for a decent apartment in a nice apartment complex. I lived in a 1/1 for 9 years and it was $695. In Alabama.
