Potential applicants for new gTLDs will be able to download information from the ICANN website. This information will describe the criteria that must be met in order to be approved for a new gTLD, including the details of the application requirements and the evaluation fee. This is a fee levied to cover the costs of establishing and running the gTLD application process. When the application round opens, candidates will apply via an online application system.
