How do I appeal a suspended or cancelled licence?
An appeal mechanism is in place if a business’ licence is suspended or cancelled (Food Regulation 2004, clause 14). The Authority will explain in writing why the licence has been cancelled or suspended. Cancellations or suspensions are normally only used as a last resort to deal with major and/or recurring breaches. If a business’ licence is suspended or cancelled, the business may apply to the Administrative Decisions Tribunal for a review of the decision.
