Determine Sprinkler TypeDetermine what type of sprinkler head you have. Rain Bird manufactures sprinkler heads in pop-up and rotary styles. Pop-up sprinklers have a riser that “pops up” when water pressure is applied. Unlike the stationary pop-up models, rotary sprinklers turn or rotate when in operation.Adjust Spray PatternAdjust the spray pattern by turning the spray-adjustment screw located on top of the sprinkler head with a screwdriver. Turning the adjustment screw clockwise will reduce the spray pattern and watering radius. Turning it counterclockwise will have the opposite effect.Adjust Spray RotationFor rotary sprinklers, adjust the spray rotation by turning the rotation screw on top of the sprinkler head with a screwdriver. Most rotary models will have the degrees labeled next to the rotation screw (90 degrees, 180 degrees, 270 degrees and 360 degrees).
