How Do I Adjust The Humidity On My Respironics CPAP?
The Respironics CPAP machine is a device used to regulate breathing in patients with sleep apnea. The device consists of a humidifier, a hose and a face mask to wear while sleeping. Like other CPAP machines, the system forces the wearer to breathe through her nose, which eliminates snoring. The Respironics CPAP system also contains five humidity-level settings which the patient can adjust to her specific comfort level. Fill the CPAP water tank with water until it reaches the fill line marked on the tank. Plug the Respironics CPAP machine into an electrical outlet and turn it on. Look at the digital display screen located on the top of the CPAP machine. This is where the relative humidity percentages are displayed. Turn the dial located below the digital display screen until the desired relative humidity level is achieved. There are five levels to choose from.
