How do I adjust my Andersen (outswing) hinged patio door?
1. Determine required adjustments: Horizontal adjustments move the panel side to side to square and center panel in opening. Vertical adjustments move the panel up and down to center panel in opening. 2. Vertical Adjustment: Adjust hinges with panels open. The panels should be supported by all hinges. Insert a 5/32″ hex wrench through hole in bottom of hinge and into vertical adjustment screw. Turning vertical adjustment screw to the right will raise panel. Turning vertical adjustment screw to the left will lower panel. Slowly turn vertical adjustment screw on each hinge one turn. Three full turns moves panel 1/8″ up or down. Adjust hinges (3 or 4 per panel) until there is approximately a 1/8″ reveal between frame and top of panel(s). Equalize the load on hinges by turning each vertical adjustment screw to the left until the panel moves slightly, then turn it to the right 1/4 of a turn. 3.
