How do I adjust Kenmore refrigerator wheels?
Refrigerators and other kitchen appliances usually don’t come with wheels but are equipped with what are called elevator bolts. The bolts are adjustable to, well, elevate (or lower) a corner of the appliance on which they are installed. They have threads, and they screw up into the bottom of the frame of the appliance. They have a round, flat pad on the bottom for a head, and it is sometimes capped with a little rubber boot. The weight of the appliance is supported on the heads of the elevator bolts. At the bottom of the elevator bolt just above the round base is a hex shaped shoulder that is specifically shaped and located so that an open end wrench can be slid in to turn it. With an appropriately sized wrench (and a torpedo level, if one is so inclined) a fridge or other appliance can be set (so it won’t wobble on its feet) and leveled within a few minutes.
