How do I add JavaScript, tags, or CSS links to the section of a Oracle9iAS Portal page?

In releases prior to 3.0.8, you cannot access the HEAD tag on a portal page. However, you can add JavaScript and CSS STYLE tags to a portlet (an HTML portlet, a dynamic page, a custom portlet, or a text item in a folder portlet). The script and styles can be referenced in other portlets on the page. Beginning with release 3.0.8, unstructured user interface (UI) page templates can now be used with Portal Pages. (In prior releases, these templates could only be used with application components.) Unstructured UI templates are written in HTML and can be used to extend the definition of a portal page. The template can contain most HTML elements, including HEAD elements such as custom JavaScript, cascading style sheet references, and META tags. Special substitution tags can be used to integrate page metadata and banner elements into the template, and you can use tags to embed PL/SQL scripting.
