Older CDL Geotiff files (prior to 2006) do not have the class names in the attribute tables. However, the attribute code values are defined within the associated metadata file. The user can reference the metadata “Entity and Attribute Information” Section of the metadata file and can add the class names manually if desired. The histogram information can be rebuilt for a CDL Geotiff file within ESRI ArcGIS. Here are the steps: ArcToolbox > Data Management Tools > Raster > Raster Properties > Calculate Statistics ArcToolbox > Data Management Tools > Raster > Raster Properties > Build Raster Attribute Table (overwrite the existing attributes).
