HOw do I add a network attached storage (NAS) drive to my computer?

The whole reason for NAS is so you don’t have to connect the drive to your computer. You connect it to your netowrk and then all the computers on the network can access the drive. Essentially, it’s a self contained computer on the netowrk that has one purpose: to share it’s drive. You connec tto it just like you would connect to a drive on any computer on your network. You can just open a run prompt (start > run) and type \\\, or you can just open My Computer and map a network drive. On vista you simply click the button that says Map Network Drive , on XP you click Tools > Map Network drive. You then enter the location of the shared drive you are looking for the same way as before: \\\. Some NAS units may be set up differently than this, in which case they would have instructions on how to connect to them from the netowrked computers.
