How do I activate Hardware Acceleration?

0

There are several things within DirectX that can be enabled for Hardware Acceleration. If you are wanting to enable Hardware Acceleration for display (Direct3D, DirectDraw, etc.) then open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool by going to Start > Run, and writing “dxdiag”. Select the “Display” tab and there should be buttons below within the “DirectX Features” groupbox. This should display the status of them and provide buttons to enable/disable Hardware Acceleration for each. If you are wanting to enable Hardware Acceleration for sound, choose the appropriate tab at the top for the sound device you want (Sound 1, Sound 2), and adjust the slider to how much Hardware Acceleration you want.
