You can access GNLFS from outside the lab by using SSH. Launch SSH from your computer. When you are prompted for the Host Name, type gnlfs.ee.washington.edu and under User Name type your EE username. Click Connect. When it prompted for a Password type your EE password. This will establish a connection with your directory on the GNL File Server.
