How do I access information regarding malaria prophylaxis in a specific country?
Malaria prophylaxis advice is based on the presence or absence of chloroquine-resistant Plasmodium falciparum. Travelers to countries having resistance are advised to take either Malarone [Atovoquone-Proguanil] or Mefloquine. When the user clicks on Epidemiology, countries with / without chloroquine-resistance are so designated in the Country list, with further details in the individual country notes.
