Groups are MyCarleton’s general newsgroups. Groups are currently divided into 6 main categories. To access the available groups: • Logon to MyCarleton and click on the groups icon. • To see a list of the available categories of groups, click on Groups index. • Click the Category link and then the group link that you would like to join. • Agree to the Group Membership Policy (please read it carefully) and you will be automatically subscribed to the group. • Please note that some groups are restricted and your access therefore has to be approved by the group leader. • Restricted groups are managed by a group leader who can assign privileges to certain group members. • Public groups can be accessed by anyone who has an account on MyCarleton. • Groups cannot be accessed from outside of MyCarleton System. You must have a computing account and be logged into MyCarleton to use Groups.
