How do hourly employees count their time for payroll?
Teacher Assistants, Teacher Assistant/Bus Drivers, and other 10-month classified staff: March 29: Employees should work 4 hours. Bus driving time is given priority. Comp time will be given to make up for this on May 24. If needed, additional compensation at time or at time-and-a-half (if needed) may be taken on the Tuesday, May 27, workday. May 24: Most of these hourly employees should not work. Time is traded for the time worked on March 29 (at time-and-a-half if over 40 hours are worked on March 29). However, bus drivers will be required to report to work only long enough to return their buses. This should not put them over the 40-hour work week.
