How do Hotels try to view in room with see-through bathroom walls?
Forget about lobbies. The bathroom’s the next frontier in edgy hotel design. Hotels such as the Standard in Manhattan and the Tides in Miami are going for more open bathrooms, in some cases with glass walls, a New York Times article says. When the Sanctum Hotel in London opens later this month, guests will find a bathtub sitting in the middle of the guest room. Such designs can give guests a sense of luxury, make the guest room seem larger or allow a guest to do two things at once, such as watch TV or chat with their partner shaves. It undoubtedly gives the hotel a hip, cutting-edge feel. “They’re definitely edgy and controversial,” Bill Barrie, a Ritz-Carlton executive told the Times, referring to glass bathrooms in its not-yet-open Dubai hotel. “It’s an opportunity to show that it’s not the old Ritz-Carlton.” Sources: http://content.usatoday.
