For instance a male(Y) is considered to be a fast swimmer and a female(X) is slower in comparison. At the same time though the male(Y) chromosome has a shorter life span and is more fragile. The female(X) chromosomes live longer and are more resilient. Using these factors along with the timing of intercourse around when a woman is ovulating increases the chances of conceiving the gender of choice. If a male(Y) or female(X) chromosome reaches the egg first than the result is that a boy or girl is conceived.
