How Do Hindu-Americans Treat the Caste System?

0

The Hindu religion is very VERY old and as such many of the old traditions of the religion are looked down upon and are in contradiction with modern standards of life and political correctness. Modern criteria for social equality and justice did not always exist and it is used to criticize many religions and political movements, including the Abrahamic religions (Judaism [esp. anti-Zionist Jews], Christianity [several sects, branches and organizations], and Islam [which is criticized the most in the media and internet these days]), Hinduism, communism, White supremacy, et cetera. The trouble is that at the time and situation of foundation for many if not all of these institutions, the critical aspects were seen as normal or even beneficial. The Hindu Caste system is still followed by an ever decreasing number of devout Hindus who live all over the world, but are concetrated mainly in India. Many people are breaking out of their birth castes by getting jobs and marrying outside the cast
