How Do Hand Crank Flashlights Work?
Lighting has long been dominated by incandescent bulbs, dominating since 1820 and modern-day versions are still nearly identical to the 1879 version that features a tungsten filament. Modern day hand crank lighting—which use incandescent bulbs—is still relatively simple as well, much of which is due to the inconvenience of them being less practical than other types of lighting. The technology of hand crank flashlights operates off of only a few basic principles, stemming from the innovations of Michael Faraday.
