How do great speakers inspire their audience?
Great speakers do three things which contribute to their ability to inspire their audience: 1. They present thoughts and ideas that the audience can appreciate and relate to. They don’t speak down to their audience, or try to impress them with their knowledge and intellectual prowess. They have a strong message and don’t get in the way of communicating that message to their audience. 2. They speak eloquently, but simply. They don’t use 10 words when 5 will do. They don’t try to impress the audience with their extensive vocabulary. Their goal is to engage the audience through an easy-to-understand delivery and presentation. Great speakers never make the audience feel inferior. 3. Great speakers are genuinely passionate about their message, and they find a way to let their passion show.
