How do global historians deal with the Early Modern, Modern, and Contemporary periods?
In general, they note how the pace of change has been accelerating in the three centuries of : the Early Modern Period, from 1500s to end of 1700s, the century and a half of the Modern Period, from 1800s to mid-1900s; and the half century of the Contemporary Period, since the mid-1900s.
