How do GiftPay-e checks differ from other iPay Transactions??
For the first time, iPay Technologies, LLC will be printing consumer drafts. Historically, all iPay checks payments have been drawn upon an iPay escrow and clearing account. This was not the optimal solution for GiftPay-e checks. Here are a few reason’s why: • To ensure the gift check message is highly personalized for and recognized by the recipient, we elected to use a window envelope that would make it easy for the recipient to see this is not junk mail. • In the event the sender makes a mistake entering a recipient’s address, a draft GiftPay-e item which contains the sender’s address is easier for the postal service to return to the sender. Under our current payment process where bills paid are debited from an iPay account, the postal service cannot return an iPay item to the sender of the GiftPay-e transaction. • Gift checks have a much higher personal touch if the name of the sender is included on the face of the check.
