How do Frozen Stopcock or Glass Joints can be Freed?
(A) Supossing the stopcock is glass barrel and plug type and if the stopper or joint are also made of glass. In this case a gentle heating using a heat gun or hot air dryer generally is enough to free the jammed parts. If the stopcock or stopper is made of Teflon, then it is advised that the part be put in a freezer or refrigerator for around half an hour. It is quite sufficient to move the parts. It is required to exercise proper caution while dealing with them to prevent injuries.
