How do four-stroke emissions compare with two-stroke emissions?
In general, four-stroke engines emit less unburned hydrocarbons (HC) and particulate matter (PM), about the same amount of carbon monoxide (CO), and more oxides of nitrogen (NOx) than two-stroke engines.
