How do flex credits work?

0

The District adds flex dollars to your paycheck twice per month and these are the dollars you use to pay for your CORE benefits, plus any additional optional benefits you choose to purchase. If you dont use all your flex dollars, youll receive the extra money as taxable income in equal amounts on 20 paychecks during the 2003 plan year. If your flex credits are not enough to cover your premium deductions, you will have the balance deducted twice per month (20 times per year) from your paycheck. The medical, dental, basic and additional life insurance premiums are deducted on a pre-tax basis.
