How Do Engineers Rank Road Projects?
The Traffic Engineering Section uses a number of tools to evaluate and prioritize intersections with safety problems. These include elements of the Safety Priority Index System (SPIS), such as accident data collected from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), traffic count studies and traffic investigations.
