How Do Emotions Affect Physical Health?
Our body is more than the body we see — it is our subconscious mind. We store some memory in the brain, but by far, the deeper, older messages are stored in the body and mind on a cellular level and must be accessed through the body (through the energy fields). When we are under stress, our emotional pathways (our chakras and meridians) become blocked. As a result, the body becomes out of balance and cannot function properly. If our emotions are not cleared, this blockage of energy may eventually lead to the development of physical symptoms. Early impressions and decisions created defense strategies to protect us from being emotionally overwhelmed. These strategies, perceived at one time to be essential, may be out of date. By clearing the helplessness around our early experiences (or even current stress) the body can heal itself.
