How do elderly Chinese manage with their squat toilets?
Chinese people must have very strong thighs. I’ve been to one of those toilets, and once you get used to it, it’s not so bad (maybe it’s like chopsticks). When I went to China, they didn’t have as many of those toilets and they had more “modern” toilets. However, those toilets are actually easier to clean and waste less water. I’ve also seen those toilets in the fancy Chinese restaurants.
Elderly Chinese don’t only squat at their toilets. They squat when they are playing cards in the park, when they are sitting around talking, etc. Also, a young Chinese person once told me that it was strange to see young Westerners exercise because this was an activity for the elderly. I certainly see a lot of elderly exercising around China, individually or in groups, and a lot of “playground” equippment that can be found at nearly every corner is actually exercise equippment usually occupied by the elderly. I see old women using bus stop stands to exercise as well.
dont be silly, everywhere has proper toilets now, if not then u need to move b4 the stench kills you even if they still have to squat at some areas they can do it because they been doing that all their lives so they get used to it, also majority are not fat so they can hold there weight for longer
