How do EcoCopper building materials contribute to earning LEED points?
Depending on the application, there are several ways that EcoCopper materials may contribute to earning LEED points. Under the materials and resources category, credit 4.1 provides points for using building materials with high recycled content. All EcoCopper building materials are highly recyclable without any loss of performance. Depending on the specific alloy, EcoCopper materials contain at least 35% and if specified, up to 100% of recycled content. Depending on the location of the building project, EcoCopper materials may also qualify under the materials and resources category for credit 5.1 for regional materials that are manufactured within 500 miles of the project site.
