Why, yes, Virginia, you can disable that key. You can disable the key when you are in OpenWindows. All you have to do is place a file called .nocapslock in your home directory with the following command: touch ~/.nocapslock Then, the next time you start a new shell, xterm, command tool, or restart OpenWindows, your Caps Lock key will be disabled. To get the functionality of the Caps Lock key back,you must remove the .nocapslock file and restart your OpenWindows session.
