How do delivery units interact on programs that are delivered through more than one unit?
With programs co-sponsored by multiple Outreach units, one unit generally assumes responsibility for coordinating the logistics of delivery, while partner units provide support in their areas of expertise. Currently, such partnerships are most common between Extension and Continuing Education and between Penn State Conferences and Public Broadcasting. In those cases, Continuing Education or Conferences has provided registration, coordination, evaluation, and program development support, while the partner unit has provided content, materials, or production services. In developing a program with multiple delivery units, Outreach staff members work with the faculty to help coordinate the various dimensions of the program.
