How do deep sea fish withstand the pressure of the ocean?
Fish are mostly made of water, like us. However, they don’t contain as much gas in their bodies as we do(oxygen in our blood, burrito gas in our stomachs, and air pockets in our ear canals. Their bodily water pressure is at the same pressure as the water in their surroundings. If we were born and raised down there too, we’d probably be wondering how those creatures on the surface survive WITHOUT pressure! (Yes, I know we do have 14.7 psi of it.
