How do decisions in the MRC get made?
Basic decisions are made by the MRC Director, and are carried out by the MRC Coordinator. This leadership structure is expanded through the UMV MRC Advisory Council, which has representatives from each of the seven communities in the Upper Merrimack Valley . The Council serves as the executive steering committee. Other groups will be formed over time, such as task forces to address training, communications, and other vital functions. Each of the Council members is endorsed by their town’s board of health, and agrees to serve as the liaison to their LEPC.
