How do / decide between undergoing PRK and LASIK?
The results of both procedures are comparable up to -12.0 diopters, and perhaps higher. The advantages of LASIK are that vision often recovers within just one or two days, and there is usually only minimal or no discomfort after the procedure. LASIK does introduce the small additional risk of the use of the microkeratome, although problems with this fortunately are very rare.
