Michael Jackson did not bleach his skin, he had Vitiligo. This disease causes depigmentation of the skin (meaning it will change colour and go lighter). Most people only get milky patches with Vilitigo, however Michael Jackson’s case is not completely understood. He also had Lupus (which is often also refered to as leukaemia. I’m sure you’ve heard people saying MJ had cancer). Lupus is a condition whereby the body’s defence mechanism goes into overdrive and starts to attack itself. However, the symptoms are varied and often are confused with other illnesses because the symptoms tend to mimic other diseases. Some of the symptoms include rashes, which have been seen in Michael Jackson’s case. Lupus can be triggered through many things including sunlight.
