How do Corps members benefit? What do they learn?
The NYC Justice Corps provides the following opportunities to Corps members throughout the six months of their participation in the Justice Corps: • an hourly stipend for the time they are enrolled in the Justice Corps; • basic job readiness training; • life skills and case management services to address any existing issues or potential obstacles; • an opportunity to contribute to repairing relationships with their communities through three-months of community service; • placement in a paid six-to-eight week employment internship; • assistance with job placement or enrollment in an educational program, upon graduation; and • support to ensure they stay employed, in school, or both after graduation.
