They are becoming less of an issue because of larger rainfall amounts and Lake Lanier being up by 14 feet from its low point. Many counties around Atlanta have already eased restrictions and are able to water existing landscapes three days a week on an odd/even schedule. New landscapes are allowed to be watered for a period of six weeks, three days a week. The drought really hurt the landscape industry but it helped us all to be focused on water-smart practices.
