How do community service help with drugs and violence?
Community service can help to cut down on drugs and violence, especially amongst young teens, and young adults. Community service offers a way to keep teens and young adults busy instead of having them on the streets making trouble or selling drugs. The key word here is “busy”. When you are busy doing something worth while that makes less time for drugs and violence. Teens that are involved in drugs and violence usually have nothing to do outside of that. Once school is out they revert to the streets because they have no goals. Community service can stimulate the mind, help the community to grow, and it can cause the students or young adults to be inspired to do good things rather than destroy their own lives.
