How do Community Midwives actively engage in multidisciplinary working when they have a 28-day contact frame with clients?
Health service staff are well-placed to spot when a child may have unmet additional needs. The length of time a worker is involved with a family should not be an issue. If needs have already been identified and services commenced new workers will join in and contribute to the overall plan. If no services are in place these can be identified and established and taken forward by workers that will have an ongoing role with the child or young person.
