How do Coca-cola and KFC keep their Secret Recipes secret?
For Coke, they prepare everything at the factory and just pump out crate after crate of cans and bottles that the other workers around the world just know is Coke. There are three or four technicians that maintain the recipe and insure that the ingredients and the taste are always consistent. For KFC, a lot of the spices and other “suit-to-taste” ingredients come pre-mixed from a KFC warehouse, so the people actually preparing the food at the restaurants don’t know the ingredients or proportions of the sauces, batters, or anything. The people at the warehouses have to sign non-disclosure agreements saying they will not tell anyone the recipe. Hope this helps.
