how do chorus frogs defend themselves against enemies?
Answer Dear aadesh – Small animals such as these frogs really don’t actively ‘defend’ themselves so much as they avoid confrontation with potential predators. These frogs accomplish this through a variety of means, including: (1) cryptic coloration that makes them difficult to spot, (2) hiding beneath logs and other debris, (3) utilizing temporary pools for reproductive purposes – such pools seldom have a resident predator population, and (4) being most active and vocal very early in the spring when risk of predation is lower than it will be during warmer weather.
