Chinese stress balls are typically made of iron or steel and are hollow and light in weight. They consist of two balls that are the same size and are small enough to fit in the hand. They may be painted or decorated with various colors or signs, symbolizing health and longevity. While in use, the balls are rotated past each other in a circle in the hand by using the fingers. Practice is needed to maintain the rhythm and motion of the fingers and thumb. The movement of the balls on the hand comes in contact with specific points used for acupuncture.
