How do children become “foster children”?

0

children go into care for all sorts of reasons..neglect, abuse of all description, sometimes children will ask to be removed, and yes sometimes (for their own reasons) parents will give up their children, sometimes for the good of the parent but mostly for the good of the children. Social workers monitor the children and the foster families at all times, from weekly visits to monthly visits, depending on if the children are living there short or long term. Long term is if it is more suitable for the foster family to foster the child/children and adoption if they want to make them part of their own family (legally)…although this is a lengthy process and normally starts out with fostering of the child unless the child was not in care to begin with.
