How do birth control pills affect a fetus?
birth control pills usually work by altering hormone levels in the uterus which makes it “inhospitible” or unwelcome to conception. However, sometimes the “hormonal imbalance” is not enough to prevent the pregnancy. Taking birth control may end the pregnancy or may only be enough to cause birth defects. It may do nothing at all; there is no way to know until the pregancy ends (either birth or termination).
