How do biblical theologians explain the existence of dinosaur fossils?
If you mean fundamentalists, they explain it away. It is clear from the fossil record man and dinosaur did not live at the same time, unless of course you consider birds the evolved form of dinosaurs. In that case, dinosaurs are with us today in their evolved form. If you are not a fundamentalist, it doesn’t pose a problem or any more of a problem than a sun centered solar system, a spherical Earth, centrifigul force or gravity. All of these of course are against the bible as well. Gallileo, Copernicus, Columbus, Darwin and Newton all were important because they proved the Universe worked differently from the bible. Columbus might be a special case, because the Apocrypha implies the Earth is spherical, though the Torah states clearly it is not. The problem with evolution isn’t the dinosaurs; it is sola scriptura and inerrancy. There are biblical arguments against sola scriptura, but the dinosaurs are a great one, as is motion of the moon around the Earth and the Earth around the Sun. T
